Engineers from the Tech Foundry will teach basic computer aided design (CAD) skills, best practices of engineering design, and manufacture prototypes using state-of-the-art additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies.
Prototype development and manufacturing technologies have advanced tremendously over the last 20 years allowing scientists, entrepreneurs and hobbyists to quickly build, test, and manufacture designs. We will learn about different types of 3D printing technologies, machining, and laser cutting and best practices to use each when developing a prototype device.
